Students from our lab claimed first, second, and third place at the MetaBioHealth Research Competition. Dongwook Jeong won first place for his presentation, “Uncovering the Mechanisms of Lymph Node Metastasis in Early Colorectal Cancer.” Heesung Jeon received second place for his presentation, “Biology-Informed Deep Learning for Predicting Lymph Node Metastasis in Early Colorectal Cancer.” Subin Park received third place for her presentation, “Dissecting Gene–Nutrient Interactions in the Development of Metabolic Disease through Multiethnic Genome-Wide Analyses.”

Dongwook Jeong and Subin Park have been selected for the university’s Global Research and Education Program (GREP).

Through this program, they had the opportunity to spend one week (10/12-18) at Professor Yang’s laboratory at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, where they engaged in collaborative research and learned advanced spatial transcriptomics experimental and analytical techniques.

Subin Park has been selected for the 2025 Science and Engineering Graduate Research Fellowship Program funded by the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF).

Over the next year, she will receive support for her education and research activities.

Her current research focuses on precision nutrition.

At the Department Research Competition, Dongwook Jeong won 1st place and Subin Park won 2nd place. Dongwook presented on the topic "Mets–Other Disease Molecular Mechanisms", while Subin presented on "Precision Nutrition". As awards, Dongwook received Apple AirPods for 1st place, and Subin received a Coffee Bean gift card for 2nd place.
